Our Purpose

In a nutshell, we help frames find their soulmates. We don't believe in the One when it comes to frames, but instead dare our customers to diversify their repertoire by seeking the unknown, by risking the unattempted. Sure you've got your safe pair that you can take home to mom. But you also need a little bit of a wild character to take a spin out for the weekend when your mom's approval alone just won't do. Our mission goes beyond just helping you see clearly. We delve into helping you bring vision into the vast frontiers of your life whether it's through our stylish frames or our unmatched commitment to your satisfaction. Step into our world, though at your own risk, because you may just find exactly what you've been looking for.

Timeline

We ship through USPS Priority Mail and it generally takes 2-6 business days from the moment we ship.  

You will receive your Try 5 Experience package within 5-7 business days of the order submission. 
You will receive your prescription glasses within 6-10 business days of the order submission.  
You will receive your non-prescription eyeglasses/sunglasses within 3-5 business days of the order submission.  

You can track use our package tracker once it is shipped.  

Order Modification

For prescription lens, we process the orders at 9 a.m. EST of the next morning and the lens manufacturing begins at 10 a.m.  If you would like to modify your order, please contact us by 9 a.m. by e-mailing us at hello@glassypeople.com or calling us at 1-800-877-5716.

Our phone hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST Monday-Friday.

You have 5 full days to check out your frames.  
A return shipping label is included so you can easily return the package.

Vision Insurance

Currently we do not accept vision insurance, however, we will provide a detailed and itemized receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. 

Return & Exchange Policy

We honor a No-Questions-Asked return and exchange within 30 days. All items must be in good condition including the case. You can submit a request for a return by emailing us at hello@glassypeople.com

If you would like to do an exchange on your eyeglasses, we limit it up to one exchange per purchase.

Sunglasses without Rx Lenses 3 Months
Sunglasses with Rx Lenses 1 Year
Eyeglasses 1 Year
  • Lenses - Any damage, including normal wear-and-tear and accidental, qualify for a full replacement.
  • Frames - Only manufacturing defects qualify for a full replacement.  If the frame model is discontinued, we will provide you with a brand new pair of glasses of an equivalent value. 

Frequently Asked Questions

I am experiencing issues with my prescription. What do I do? 

It usually takes a few days to get used to a new prescription, but if you're still experiencing issues, please email us at hello@glassypeople.com or call us at 1-800-877-5716. 

Do you offer bifocal or progressive eyeglasses or sunglasses? 

At the moment we do not offer any bifocal or progressive products. In fact we highly recommend you go into an optical store to obtain this information. 

What's the best way to clean my lenses?

We recommend putting them under lukewarm water with a little dish soap and gently rinsing them. After rinsing, dry them out using a soft cloth or soft towel (you can use the cleaning cloth provided with our eyeglasses). Please take care not to use hot water on the lenses because it may cause bubbles or cracks to appear when exposed to high temperatures. 

What is Pupillary Distance (PD)? 

Pupillary Distance is the distance in millimeters between your pupils and it is necessary in order to complete your eyeglasses correctly. You can obtain this information in several different ways. 

  • Contact the optical store where you previously purchased eyeglasses and they will have it on file. If they claim that they don't have to give it to you, kindly remind them that it is your legal right mandated by federal law that every patient is entitled to all of their medical information, including the PD. 
  • Use our printable PDF ruler that has full instructions on how to measure your PD and you can download that here
  • Stop by your local optical store and the in-store optician may do it for free or do it for a small charge (usually not over $50). 

What if my prescription is expired?

If your prescription is expired we will be unable to fulfill your eyeglass prescription and will ask that you obtain an updated prescription by setting up an appointment with a local optometrist. This is for the safety and longevity of your vision as an optometrist is trained to look for changes in your eye vision as well as any potential health risks that may appear. If your prescription does not have an expiration date, we will only fulfill your prescription if your exam date is within the past two years.
